(Matty) Where are you from? Where were you raised?
(Moses) I'm definitely from DC but I was raised on the West Coast..mainly in LA.
(Matty) I heard DC can be a rough place, how was life growing up for you? Is there something or someone significant that helped mold you as a person?
(Moses) It can be, and it is.. We were murda capital. There was a lot of violence but also so much more love. My grandmother helped mold me to stay inspired through anything.
(Matty) Growing up who were your musical influences? Did you go through genre stages? Were you eclectic? Or did you know what you liked early on?
(Moses) Bob Marley and Billie Holiday were big influences for me. At home, I was exposed to middle eastern music, Hip-hop and gogo were also huge for me. I moved around a lot and picked up style from the gangsters, the skaters, the nerds, and I meshed it all together.
(Matty) What attracted you to hip hop? Do you feel like some of the things that made you like hip hop are lost?
(Moses) The beats and the message. It helped me to cherish knowledge and appreciate my blessings. Some hip-hop has lost the message, but a lot of unsung heroes stay holding it down..

(Matty) Let's talk a little about your music specifically. What's the thought process of you as an artist? Do you look at every song as it's own entity, or do you look at an album as a whole unit? What do you look for in beats?
(Moses) Each song is its own body of work, but in general my music is all connected and creates one long story. Artistically, I think like Mohammad Ali. No one on this planet can do what I can, because my power is from another world. I'm looking at my upcoming album as a book or a scripture. I like bluesy and middle eastern beats. I also like that space travel, party music. I look for voices in the beats. Not literal voices, but its like..when I hear the right beat, it just speaks to me..and I speak right back to it.
(Matty) What's your favorite track you've made? I don't want no "they're all my babies" answer either. Ok top 3.
(Moses) Lol.. LA Chillin is my favorite so far. It gets the crowd hype and it's doing well on Youtube. My competitive side really pushed me to kill the track harder than any other relevant artist. There are some hidden gems in there for DC natives. Top 3 - LA Chillin, Styrofoam, and Baila.
(Matty) Where do you see/hear your music going in the next 5 years? What are you working on now?
(Moses) In 5 years, I see my myself at the top of the charts... I'm looking forward to making more dance music, but I'm also looking forward to writing some serious street anthems and cross-genre hits. Right now I'm working on my solo album, and a project with my crew, nuAi.
